The government is reported to be considering the incorporation of certain changes to the 20th Amendment to the Constitution during the committee stage of the debate.
Although Cabinet approval has been given to the bill titled ‘20th Amendment to the Constitution’. there is dissension among some government members on some of the provisions such as the restriction on the size of the Cabinet, the scrapping of the National Audit Commission and that of removing the ban on dual citizens becoming parliamentarians.
Some 14 government members are reported to have expressed different views on the 20A.
A constitutional amendment can be passed into law in Parliament only by a two-thirds majority. Therefore, the government is compelled to accommodate viewpoints of all its members. (Kelum Bandara)

NO....... Change now and let the country see the revised version. Changes at the committee stage ruined the 19th amendment

The 20A is the same of 18A with a different ice coating. It ruins all democratic institutions and no right thinking citizen should support this bill.

Make sure the amendments at least in this one is for the people and not to serve political purposes. Do not forget people wanted to curtail the powers of the Presidency and improve checks and balances, for many many years now. All that is gone in the proposed 20A

19A is the sovereignty of the people only insane people will support 20A amendment, why should the people sacrifice their rights and sovereignty for whose benefit if the government wants a constitution to suit them the 20A will be a failure
