Eighty-three employees of the ORIT apparel factory in Avissawella tested positive with COVID-19 yesterday.
A total number of 639 COVID-19 cases have been reported in the country yesterday alone, out of which, 133 of them were from the Colombo District, 190 from Gampaha, 89 from Kandy and 50 from the Kalutara District.
In addition, 42 cases in the Ampara District and 21 from Jaffna were also reported.

Covid has killed less people in Sri Lanka than Dengue or Road accidents in Sri Lanka. 99% of those infected get cured without any medicine. So why go we need to close. Let us forget this covid and do live as normal. Of course take precautions. But do not be overly concerned.
