The All Share Price Index dipped 70.9 points to close at 7,313.2 points (-0.9%), whilst the Milanka Price Index also dipped 57.1 points to close at 6,822.2 points (-0.8%).

The total turnover was LKR951.3 mn (USD8,638.75 k) vs.12-month average daily turnover of LKR2,774.9 mn (USD25,198.9 k) whilst the volume traded for the day was 30,319.7 k against the 12-month average daily volume of 93,168.6 k.

Top traded counters were York Arcade Holdings LKR117.7 mn (USD1,068.9 k, +11.3%), Ceylinco Insurance LKR59.9 mn (USD543.9 k, +1.5%),CIC Holdings LKR55.1 mn (USD500.4 k, -0.0%), First Capital Holdings LKR33.1mn (USD300.6 k, +7.7%) and Hotel Developers LKR29.1 mn (USD264.3 k, +2.2%).

Colombo bourse closed the week on a negative note where lower activity level was seen. York Arcade Holdings saw renewed buying interest during the day where the counter gained 11%. Further counter saw circa 2.7 million shares changing hands during the day. Ceylinco Insurance and CIC holdings continued to gather momentum with institutional and high-net worth participation. Renewed buying interest was evident in First Capital Holdings. Further, strong interest was seen on Hotel Developers during the day.

Net outflow of foreign funds was seen during the day, where foreign purchases amounted to LKR43.1 mn (USD391.4 k), whilst foreign sales amounted to LKR79.4 mn (USD721.0 k).
