After sharp gains last week, the market began a fresh week on a negative note with ASPI down by 58 points and Milanka by 41 points. However investor sentiments remained buoyant on account of Rs. 12.5 billion turnover.
Major deals included 20.3 million shares of HNB trading between a high of Rs. 445 and a low of Rs. 400 before closing at Rs. 415.50, up by Rs. 4.70. Dockyard seeing 3.8 million of its shares traded before closing at Rs. 288.20, up by Rs. 7 and Browns recording 1.2 million shares prior to closing at Rs. 272.30, up by Rs. 24.60.
