Thurstan takes lead

Thurstan has already taken a first innings lead over Wesley at the end of the first day’s play in the Under 19 inter-school cricket encounter played at Thurstan ground.
Wesley taking first lease of the wicket was shot out for 50 runs with Thimira Jayasinghe, Naveen Gunawardena and Rusira Munasinghe who together share nine wickets doing the damage. Thurstan too in their turn underwent some anxious moments before ending their innings making a score of 114. Wesley batting a second time ended the day on 20 for 2. The match will be continued today.
