Faizer adjudged Mr. Wayamba 2014

A.R.M. Faizer of Khan Fitness Centre, Puttalam, emerged champion at the Mr. Wayamba 2014 Challenge Cup conducted by the Sri Lanka Bodybuilding and Fitness Federation (SLBBFF) at the Albert F Peiris Indoor Sports Stadium in Wennappuwa recently.
W.A. Athula Fernando of Life Power Gym, Katuneriya, and M.A. Silva of M.A.M. Gym, Mahawewa, won second and third places respectively.   
A total number of 70 contestants in seven weight categories participated at this event. Minister of Social Welfare, Milroy S Fernando graced the occasion as the chief guest.
Winners received certificates and cash awards.
Results of weight group categories:
55kg weight category: Champion – M.M. Dammika Chaminda (Life Power Gym), 1st runner-up – R.M. Madusanka (M.A.M. Gym) and 2nd runner-up – K. Prithiba Piries (Sportsman Club Gym)
60kg weight category: Champion – Rajesh Priyanga (Sportsman Club Gym), 1st runner-up K.W. Sadeep Madusanka (Kushy Fitness Centre) and 2nd runner-up - A.M. Namal Padmasiri (Priyadarshana Fitness Academy)
65kg weight category: Champion – W.A. Athula Fernando (Life Power Gym), 1st runner-up G.R. Sanjeewa (Kush Fitness) and 2nd runner-up S.A. Amith Sajeewa (Gold Gym)
70kg weight category: Champion – W. Pradeep Radika (Life Power Gym), 1st runner-up I.M.C.B. Pramathilaka (Priya Dasuna Gym) and 2nd runner-up M.A.P. Niroshana (M.A.M. Gym)
75kg weight category: Champion – A.R.M. Faizer (Khan Fitness Centre), 1st runner-up N.G. Supun Sadaruwan (Kushy Fitness) and 2nd runner-up K.A. Janaka Pradeep (Kuliyapitiya Babel)
80kg weight category: Champion – J.A.D. Jayasinghe (Priya Dasuna Gym), 1st runner-up Sumeda Dinesh (M.A.M. Gym) and 2nd runner-up K.P.M. Anthony (Kushy Fitness)
85kg weight category: Champion – M.A. Silva (M.A.M.Gym), 1st runner-up D.A. Suraj Sumeda (Khan Fitness Centre) and 2nd runner-up W. Sathish Dilantha (Kushy Fitness).
