Angelo Mathews with a four-wicket haul helped Sri Lanka record a six-run win over the West Indies in the third and final ODI played at the Pallekele Stadium in Kandy yesterday.
Sri Lanka also made a clean-sweep by coming out victorious in all three matches.
Sri Lanka restricted the West Indies to 301 for nine while chasing a target of 308 despite a late cameo from number seven batsman Fabian Allen.
Angelo Mathews claimed four wickets to set up the win after a strong batting performance led by Kusal Mendis (55) and Dhananjaya de Silva (51) steered Sri Lanka to 307 all out in 50 overs.
Mathews won the Player-of-the-Match Award while young Wanindu Hasaranga was named as the Player-of-the-Series.
