The domestic cricket season for the year 2021 will kick-off with the Premier Major Club T20 tournament scheduled to get underway today and will be played in venues around the metropolis.
The tournament will see all the major cricket playing clubs in the fray and is contested by 26 teams which are divided into four groups comprising of seven in Group A and D and six each in Groups B and C.
In Group A the seven teams are Badureliya CC, CCC, BRC, Negombo CC, Galle CC, Nugegoda S&WC and Kandy Customs CC.
In Group B are NCC, Colts CC, Air Force SC, Lankan CC, SLPA CC and Bloomfield.
The tournament will see all the major cricket playing clubs in the fray and is contested by 26 teams which are divided into four groups comprising of seven in Group A and D and six each in Groups B and C
Group C will consist of Chilaw Marians CC, SSC, Moors SC, Police SC, Kalutara TC and Kurunegala YCC. Ragama CC, Army SC, Saracens SC, Panadura SC, Tamil Union, Navy SC and Sebastianites CC make up Group D.
The quarter-finals are scheduled to be played on March 16 while the two semi-finals will be played on March 18 and the final is slotted to be played on March 20. The venues for these matches have not been finalized yet.
Eight matches are scheduled to be played with four each in the morning and afternoon sessions.

At SCC: Morning - Badureliya CC vs Nugegoda S&WC; Afternoon - CCC vs Galle CC
At CCC: Morning - NCC vs Bloomfield; Afternoon - Colts CC vs SLPA CC
At Colts: Morning - SSC vs Kalutara TC; Afternoon - Chilaw Marians CC vs Kurunegala YCC
AT NCC: Morning - Ragama CC vs Navy SC; Afternoon - Army SC vs Tamil Union
