Olympic Day Run concludes successfully

The Annual Olympic Day Run to mark the International Olympic Day celebrations was worked off successfully in Matara yesterday.

The event conducted by the National Olympic Committee of Sri Lanka (NOCSL) was held under the patronage of 2000 Sydney Olympic Games medallist Susanthika Jayasinghe.
Over 1,000 schoolchildren representing 17 different schools from Matara participated in the Olympic Day Run which was held from Polhena to the Uyanwatte Stadium in Matara covering a distance of four kilometres.
