Indian all-rounder Irfan Pathan is still not fit to return to the Kandy Tuskers team in the ongoing Lanka Premier League (LPL), according to the team's Manager Farveez Maharoof.
During the opening match against Colombo Kings on November 26, the 38-year-old Irfan Pathan sustained a hamstring injury and could not deliver the last ball of his second over.
Kusal Mendis had to complete the over.
"He is not fit yet but our medical team is working hard to get him ready to play and we are hopeful he will be available to play later in the tournament".
Physio Lasantha Ekanayake and Dr. Chaminda Gunathilake are monitoring his fitness on a day to day basis, it is learnt.
