Inclement weather was responsible for a complete washout of the opening day of the first Unofficial Test between Sri Lanka ‘A’ and Bangladesh ‘A’ in Katunayake on MOnday (23).

Early morning rain had left the ground under covers for the entirety of the morning session and any hopes of commencing play later in the day were dashed when the showers returned shortly after midday.

Play is scheduled to commence at 9.45 am today.
