United People's Freedom Alliance (UPFA) Member of Parliament (MP) Dullas Alahapperuma was today (22) appointed as the Minister of Sports, in the caretaker government under newly-elected President Gotabaya Rajapaksa.

It was one of three portfolios given to Minister Alahapperuma who will also oversee the Ministries of Education and Youth Affairs.
