Champions Hambantota Hornets pose with the trophy

Hambantota Hornets claimed the first stage of the Dialog Beach Soccer Championship 2021 when they beat Matara Marines 3 - 2 in the finals carried out at the Hambantota beach yesterday.
The tournament organised by the Football Federation of Sri Lanka (FFSL) saw the participation of 12 teams. Consisting of four stages in total, the remaining stages of the tournament will be played off at Valvettithurai, Kalmunai and Negombo in the coming weeks.
