Bangladesh cricket team, will not arrive on September 27, as earlier planned.

According to highly placed sources in BCB, it has been decided that the team will not travel on this date and the touring date may be delayed, if it is to happen.

There has been no clear direction on whether the Sri Lankan Health Ministry would relax the quarantine period and both boards are awaiting the directives.

It is also learnt that the BCB has communicated certain 'tolerable' conditions to the SLC.

Meanwhile, the results of the 27 players who were tested for COVID-19 on Tuesday have come and all players except Abu Jayed (right arm fast bowler) have tested negative.

Eight out of the nine suspected players have joined the team in the hotel and now only Abu Jayed has remained at the isolation camp in the academy, it is learnt here.

The second important testing of the players has been scheduled for 25th.

Considering the uncertainty of the tour, the spin consultant, Daniel Vettori, who was to join the team in Bangladesh this week has delayed his arrival, it is also learnt.

"It will be too tight for him", a source said.
