Delivering next generation network transformation for a Tier One Telco in the APAC region to successfully on board 5G platforms and future proof its business, hSenid Mobile reaffirmed its track record of successful implementation on infrastructure services to telcos and enterprises around the world. Backed by its reputation for delivering high-quality software products and services, the hSenid Mobile team managed the project end-to end, from design, source and implementation of an upgraded NFV cloud architecture with vendor agnostic open technologies.

Commenting on the successful partnership, Dinesh Saparmadu - Chairman, hSenid said, “We are proud to drive network transformation to support 5G for a prominent client who is a Tier One telco in the APAC region. The solution delivered by us has been a game-changer for the client who is now well-equipped in the race to be the one of first Telcos to adopt 5G. In order to build the foundation for the company’s 5G future and fully utilise the expansion, the company needed network agility and technology stack upgrades to counter the big change. hSenid Mobile deployed secure, flexible and scalable network infrastructure to pave the way for future innovation and 5G technology initiatives. Telco is able to accelerate network transformation road map by leveraging on proven expertise of next generation virtualisation and cloud technology from hSenid Mobile.”

Explaining the challenges faced and addressed implementing the solutions, Chirantha Pitigala - Deputy General Manager (SI business), hSenid Mobile said that traditional network infrastructure lacks the agility, scalability and resiliency to support the expected rapid growth of communication business with the launch of 5G,  and their business expansion demanded a refined and effective business continuity management to continue to serve the valuable subscriber base despite any unavoidable infrastructure outages due to catastrophic events. A deployed solution is able to save significant investment needed for application platform level geo-redundancy since it can be achieved using cloud solution capabilities.

hSenid Mobile’s solution on the Telco created a standard cloud platform supports ETSI (European Telecommunications Standards Institute) standard, capable of evolving, avoiding risk of vendor lock-in and on-boarding any Virtual Network Functions. Many of the world’s leading operators have collaborated on Network Functions Virtualization (NFV) to promote an open architectural framework and ecosystem to support a wide range of use cases. hSenid Mobile identified this as the sustainable solution for the challenges faced by the Telco.

hSenid Mobile’s NFV cloud solution enabled strong crisis management; reduced infrastructure cost; increased operational efficiency within a short span of time. Equipped with this enhanced preparedness, the Telco is confident that the new platform will contribute to the network evolution strategies toward 5G and with more time to focus on innovation. The Telco is capitalizing on the newly simplified architecture to deliver service improvements to users and bring enterprises to their business faster.
