SLT Speedup Cycle Sawariya day 3 started in front of Sri Lanka Telecom regional office Bandarawela and travelled through Nuwara Eliya, Peradeniya, Kandy and reached the finish point at Kurunegala yesterday (26th September) covering a distance of 159 Km.
The day 3 winners: winner of the day Prabhash Madushanka of Sri Lanka Navy team, 1st runner-up Thushan Rajapaksha of Sri Lanka Army team and 2nd and runner-up Chamika Sandun Kumara of Sri Lanka Navy team.
The day 2 Tour Leader Jersey was received by Sajith Hasantha of Sri Lanka Port Authority team. He also received The King of Mountain jersey while Chamod De Silva of Sri Lanka Port Authority team was received the Best Young Rider Jersey again for the 2nd time. Sandun Kumara of Sri Lanka Navy team was received the Best Spinter Jersey. All these jersey winners travelled to the finish wearing their jerseys.
Today the men’s race day 4, consists of two sessions and will start the 1st session at 8.30am from Kurunegala. The race will travel through Anuradhapura to Vauniya and will have an intermission for the cyclists at Vauniya. The 2nd session will start at 3.00pm from Vauniya and will end at Trincomalee.
The two day women’s race will also commence in the morning today in front of the Sri Lanka Telecom Head office, Colombo and will end at Kurunegala.
