Completing yet another social welfare project, David Pieris Group recently donated a newly constructed house to a low income family in Sewanapitiya in Welikanda area.
As per a request made by the Divisional Secretariat in Welikanda, the company handed over the new house worth at Rs. 1,000,000/= to the needy family of three, two grand-daughters (Tharushi Prabodha and Imalka Sanjeewani) and a grandmother (V. Jane Nona).
On behalf of the David Pieris Group, a member of the David Pieris Group Social Welfare Committee Mr. Mahesh De Silva (Chief Marketing Officer – ALCL), handed over the keys.
In addition to donate fully equipped houses for low income families, David Pieris Group's Social Welfare Committee has sponsored educational programmes,, donate medical equipment to hospitals, financial assistance for those who suffer from critical illnesses, financial assistance for disable people, public transport facilities in rural areas as well as several programmes for uplift the women and training them in entrepreneurship.
David Pieris Group of Companies has diversified interests in automotive products including Bajaj four wheelers, three wheelers and motorcycles, financial services, logistics and warehouse operations, eco-friendly agribusiness, motor sports and leisure.
