A decision by a popular politico of a main political party to enter the fray at the upcoming general poll from the Colombo district has ruffled and nettled a bigwig of the same party, they say.

The bigwig had got highly disconcerted over the popular politico’s move, due to the fear that the latter would outshine him at the poll if he were to run the race with him.

The highly agitated bigwig has already gone up in arms against the popular one being given nomination to contest in the Colombo district and has already secured the support of several party high-ups as well in his battle to keep his rival-to be at bay, they say.
