SLT enables double broadband speeds for same price

Sri Lanka Telecom (SLT), the national ICT solutions provider announced the breaking news regarding the launch of the company’s Happy Broadband campaign.

With the dawn of 2015, the speeds of SLT broadband packages have been doubled at no extra cost to customers. This initiative was undertaken by the company with the aim of providing Sri Lankans with an enhanced broadband experience which will enable them to efficiently fulfill their expectations and plans for the New Year 2015.

SLT broadband packages now offer much more superior broadband experience to customers than before, with the highest speeds ranging from 4 Mbps to 16 Mbps, ranging from the basic packages to the heavy user packages, at no extra cost. Thus customers are guaranteed of consistent, uninterrupted broadband connectivity at the highest speeds for the best prices in the country.

Chief Marketing Officer of SLT, Roshan Kaluarachchi said, “The main goal of SLT has always been to provide high quality of services in order to increase the value to our customers. As the national ICT solutions provider, we make sizable investments each year in order to ensure the highest quality of our services. Broadband customers can now experience unparalleled speeds with SLT Broadband.”

SLT broadband, powered by SLT Megaline, offers a range of diverse packages with varying speeds, volumes and prices, enabling customers to choose the ideal package that suits their specific needs and budgets. Low user packages such as Entrée, Student Package 7 GB and Abhimaana will have a speed of up to 4 Mbps; Web Pal, Student Package 13 GB and Web Starter comes with a speed of up to 8 Mbps while the heavy user packages such as Web Pro, Web Surfer and Web Family now come with a speed of up to 16 Mbps depending on the distance and line conditions.

This will be applicable for existing as well as new connections of the above mentioned SLT broadband packages from 1st of January 2015.This is a good opportunity for customers with other packages to upgrade to the above packages and experience superior speeds. no upgrades for the Heavy Users though... I suppose maximum speed SLT can offer is 16Mbps, which is disappointing..
