Sri Lanka’s premier toilet cleaner Harpic, was crowned as the brand of the year in the household care category, for the third consecutive year, at the SLIM-Neilson Peoples Awards, held on 15th March 2011.

Harpic has won the trust of Sri Lankan housewives across the island, regardless of their socio-economic background, over many decades, so much so that it has become synonymous with the word ‘toilet cleaner’, hence it is no surprise that you hear someone asking for a Harpic rather than asking for a toilet cleaner.

“The people have spoken – their voice, their rating certifies their trust in the brand for its quality. The masses were the judges of this Award and it affirms that Harpic has got people power” commented Mr. Rahul Murgai, Managing Director, Reckitt Benckiser Lanka Ltd.

“We are proud because Harpic proved its stance as a longstanding, trustworthy ‘people’s product’ by emerging as the winner from the Household Category, which was one of the largest and most competitive segments, for three consecutive years”, says Ms. Shenali Wickramaaratchi, Senior Manager Surface Care Category.

“This proves that the customers have steadfastly held on to Harpic for more than two and a half decades and that they still continue to value and accept it as their preferred choice” stressed

Mr. Zakaria Ahamed, Director Marketing.
