DFCC Bank Celebrates the Spirit Of The Season

DFCC Bank, in its efforts to celebrate the spirit of season has been very active in the month of December, adding to the festive ambience in Colombo. 

The Bank proudly partnered “Tourism Fest 2016”, which was held at the Arcade, Independence Square from the 21st to the 23rd of December. The highly anticipated seasonal event organised by the Ministry of Tourism Development and Christian Religious Affairs was inaugurated on the 21st by Hon. Ranil Wickramasinghe – Prime Minister of Sri Lanka together with Hon. John Amaratunga – Minister of Tourism Development and Christian Religious Affairs and the Archbishop of Colombo - His Eminence Malcolm Cardinal Ranjith, in the presence of VIP guests, members of parliament and distinguished dignitaries. DFCC Bank also sponsored the set-up of the venue’s Christmas tree which was adorned with glittering red and silver lights.

The inauguration ceremonies on each of the days that followed were attended by Hon. Harin Fernando- Minister of Telecommunications and Digital Infrastructure and Hon. (Dr.) Sarath Amunugama- Minister of Special Projects. 

Tourism Fest 2016 featured four days of Christmas themed fun and entertainment including performances by carolers, bands, DJs and musicians. Festive games and activities were also scheduled throughout the period to entertain and brighten up the holiday season for everyone visiting the city during the holidays.

DFCC Bank also decorated the Galle Face Roundabout, adding to the festive lights and sights around the Galle Face area.
