The new project is titled Mohammed bin Rashid City and will provide world-class leisure facilities and business opportunities. What exactly will this new city, which will be set up in collaboration with Universal Studios and expected to be the largest family centre for entertainment in the Middle East, South Asia and Africa, feature?  A park equipped for 35 million visitors, 100 hotel facilities, the largest shopping mall in the world and largest art galleries in the Mena region.

It’s clear that Dubai will again live up to its reputation for building the largest, the biggest and the grandest structures in the world.

But this new project actually has a practical purpose. It’s supposed to accommodate growing tourism in the emirate. Tourism in Dubai is growing by 13 per cent annually and in about six years’ time, 90 million passengers will be passing through Dubai airport. Shaikh Mohammed has always had a progressive vision for Dubai and by establishing this city, he aims to make Dubai enter its third phase of development that will make the UAE the capital of entrepreneurship, arts, culture and tourism.  Even though the state-of-the-art project has many attractive aspects, perhaps one particular feature, which quintessentially represents Dubai, and will excite its residents the most, is the world’s largest mall. For shopping addicts who throng Dubai’s splendid shopping malls, the biggest shopping complex on the planet awaits them in the near future.

From Mall of the Emirates to Mall of the World, Dubai has definitely come a long way and will continue to impress the world with its awe-inspiring architecture and development.
