How would we humans, like it if we were tethered to a tree or post, and taken out only once in a way?We are treating Elephants and other animals, as if they were not living creatures.

Thank you for a very thoughtful and illuminating article about elephants and the conditions under which they live when in captivity.I agree that there should be no private ownership. An elephant registry that is accessible to the public is a good first step in improving the lives of these wonderful creatures.
