(1) 2600th anniversary since the Buddha preached the first discourse “Dhamma Chakkapavattana Sutta” to the world.
(2) 2600th anniversary since the Buddha visited Mahiyangana, in Sri Lanka.
Continuing their misleading and arrogant attitude they are issuing only two stamps for Vesak even though there is provision for at least four stamps. Why this discrimination?
Also philatelic folders and souvenir sheets are being issued for other events in Sri Lanka why not for the 2600th anniversary of Sambuddhathva Jayanti.
I hope the Buddha Sasana Ministry, 2600 Sri Sambuddhathva Jayanti Presidential Secretariat & the all Ceylon Buddhist congress open their eyes to this blatant injustice.
