Swami Vivekananda Cultural Centre (SVCC), High commission of India, Colombo, will be organizing a Bharatha Natyam Recital by Ms Anuka King at 6 p.m. on August 29, at SVCC Auditorium located at 16/2, Gregory’s Road, Colombo 07.
Ms King is an accomplished Bharatanatyam dancer. She has trained under maestros in the field.
In 2006, she completed her arangetram under Late Padma Shri Adyar K. Lakshman.

Since then, she has been performing annually in Chennai, India and has received strong reviews.
Anuka has strived to bring Bharatanatyam to wider circles, performing not just in various cities, but also to a variety of audiences, including destitute women, the elderly, and her Majesty Queen Sirikit of Thailand, and on various platforms, including Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR), educational and cultural establishments, and charity fundraisers. She is also a dancer who delivers a diverse, physical, and emotional experience.
