A transfer of a staggering sum of $11 million (Rs.1, 980 million), which had been received for the rights of the broadcasting of Sri Lanka Cricket Matches, to external accounts is scheduled to be investigated by the COPE Committee. Parliamentarian and Chairman of the COPE Committee Sunil Handunnetti said the Forensic Report pertaining to Sri Lanka Cricket has been submitted by the Auditor General’s Department. It is reported that relevant officers would be questioned regarding the transfer of funds to external accounts which had been received for the right of broadcasting of matches.
