The debate on the report of the Presidential Commission which probed the Easter Sunday attacks will take place in Parliament today.

Leader of the House Dinesh Gunawardene said the debate will commence today and it will be continued for three more days during the third week of this month.

“We have agreed to debate on the Presidential Commission Report on the Easter Sunday attacks as it was agreed at the party leaders meeting,” he said.  Chief Opposition Whip Lakshman Kiriella said that all volumes of the Presidential Commission reports should be tabled in the House. “Even the Attorney General had not received certain volumes of the Presidential Commission Report. How can the Attorney General take action against anyone without the volumes which contains details on the evidence given by those who testified before the commission?,” he questioned.
