The Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the Alumni Association of the University of Peradeniya (AAUP) was held recently at the Faculty of Science, University of Peradeniya.
Vice Patron Professor Upul B. Dissanayake, Vice Chancellor of the University of Peradeniya, Emeritus Professor Vidyajoythi C.B. Dissanayake as the Chief Guest and Dr. Chandra Embuldeniya as the Guest of Honour, and other scholars and AAUP members participated.
The key events of the day included the felicitation of Emeritus Professor Rathna Handurukanda, awarding of scholarships to undergraduates followed by a Fellowship and Lunch.
The following members were elected as Office bearers of the Association, for the period 2019/20.
