A massive collection of rubbish that obstructed the free flow of water in Ginganga at the Wakwella Bridge in Gintota was cleared by the Navy. A senior Navy official said the large collection of logs, bamboo trees, and garbage was cleared as a precautionary step to allow the free flow of the river in view of the impending danger of floods.
Navy drivers carried out the task of clearing on the instructions of Commander of the Southern Naval Command Rear Admiral Kassapa Paul.
