Four persons were arrested for assaulting a group of STF officers in Uhana, police said yesterday
It was revealed that the group of STF officers were assaulted on Saturday when they were returning from the Lathugala forest reserve in Uhana in a three-wheeler and a tractor.
They were intercepted by the suspects who alo arrived in a three-wheeler. Police said an STF officer has sustained minor injuries in the attack.
The Uhana Police launched an investigations into the incident and arrested four suspects along with their three-wheeler.
They would be produced in the Ampara Magistrate’s Court.
