Mainly fair weather will prevail over most parts of the island, the Department of Meteorology said yesterday.
However, showers or thundershowers are expected at a few places in the Ratnapura, Kalutara, Galle and Matara districts after 2.00 p.m
as per the weather forecast put out by the department.
Misty conditions are expected at some places in the Western, Central and Sabaragamuwa provinces during the morning.
The General public were requested to take adequate precautions to minimize damages caused by temporary localized strong winds and lightning during thundershowers.
Some 68.089 people belonging to 20,261 families in 13 districts including Kurunegala,Puttalam, Kegalle, Hambantota, Kalutara, Matale, Nuwara Eliya, Kandy,
Trincomalle, Ampara, Batticaloa and Badulla were affected by the recent adverse weather conditions during the past
few days.
