Disgruntled Matara District UNP candidates to support SLPP

 Two UNP candidates contesting the general election from the Matara District have decided to support the SLPP, Gayan Sanjeewa who is contesting as the UNP group leader in the district said at a press conference held yesterday at the Matara UNP District Office.   The two defying candidates were Akuressa UNP Organiser B.G. Chandana Priyantha and W.Premarathna who represent the Hakmana electorate.  

Mr.Sangeewa said that they had arrived at the decision on a deal with the SLPP.   

Matara UNP candidates Vindana Nishantha Haputhantri, Jagath Nallaperuma, Janith Wickremasinghe Ananda Srikumara were also present at the press conference.
