Devotees in thousands were seen flocking to Sri Pada during the weekend in unending queues visible from miles away.
The Police and the Public Health authorities provided security and basic health necessities to the visiting masses. Chief Incumbent of Sri Pada- Bengamuwe Dhammadinna Thera requested the public to keep the sacred site tidy by not disposing polythene and rubbish.
