A total of 83 Sri Lankan expatriates were among the 331 persons who were tested positive for Covid-19 on Monday, the National Operations Centre for Prevention of COVID-19 Outbreak (NOCPCO) said.
According to the NOCPCO, 248 patients have been identified locally out of which the majority of 49 were from Matara, 34 each from the Matale and Gampaha districts and 25 from the Colombo District. Meanwhile,103 cases were reported from
other districts. By yesterday morning, 88,237 persons were confirmed positive to COVID-19 from all over the country, including the deceased.
A total of 84,968 fully-recovered COVID-19 patients have been so far discharged from hospitals and the rest 2,737 are still undergoing treatment in hospitals and care centres.
The NOCPCO said that 10,411 persons in the 105 tri service-managed quarantine centres.
