Personal data of subscribers attached to social media and those who are attached to COVID-19 tracking apps are being collected by various cyber criminals, Information Technology Society of Sri Lanka ( ITSSL) warned in a statement yesterday.
“ Personal data of those who upload postings on social media including apps are being collected by these criminals” ITSSL President Rajeew Mathew said in a statement yesterday.
“ Coronaline1-1 mobile app has been identified as a spy software,” Mr Mathew said.
He also said people should avoid exchanging data through spam links such as wwwinternet- COVID-19.com.
