The Colombo High Court yesterday read out the indictments filed against former Megapolis Minister Patali Champika Ranawaka over the 2019 hit and run accident at Rajagiriya.
The indictment including four charges against MP Ranawaka was served to him on the last case date and it was read over to him only yesterday by the court Mudliyar in open court.
The indictment included charges of reckless driving, failing to prevent an accident and the hit and run accident involving vehicle number bearing no KP 7545 at Rajagiriya on February 28, 2019.
Five witnesses were listed to give evidence in the case and the first witness was not present in court yesterday. A notice was issued for him to appear in court next time.
