Arrangements have been made to perform 500 cataract surgeries for needy cataract patients who live in remote villages

Karuna Trust has made arrangements to perform 500 cataract surgeries to needy cataract patients who live in remote villages. The surgeries will be done in May 2021, and we will start the project on the 8th May by doing surgeries to 50 clergy.
Out of the 500 surgeries, 150 have been allocated for estate Tamil workers. There are thousands of estate Tamil women who cannot earn their daily living by tea plucking as they are full or semi blind due to cataract in their eyes. They are a set of innocent people who have been neglected by everyone.
Giving sight to a blind is one of the greatest acts one can do in this life. We make a kind request from you to be a sponsor of this project and help a needy elder to regain his or her sight. The cost of a surgery is SLR 15,000.00 ( USD 80.00).
Please forward this mail to your relatives and friends.
