State owned retail network Lanka Sathosa will be open across the island from today as directed by the government to ensure the masses have access to food and essential items during the ongoing restriction period.
Lanka Sathosa was declared as an essential service by President Gotabaya Rajapaksa last evening and an Extraordinary Gazette was issued to facilitate the same.
Meanwhile, Trade Minister Bandula Gunawardena said that all Economic Centers across the country will be open today and tomorrow (3 and 4 June) for wholesale trade.
