Ariana Grande marked another milestone on Monday as she became the most-streamed female artiste on Spotify. The 27-year-old Thank U, Next singer overtook Rihanna, who had previously held the top spot on the popular music streaming service. Despite being honoured, Arianna wrote that she hoped Rihanna would soon regain her crown. ‘@ArianaGrande is now the most streamed female artiste of all-time on Spotify, surpassing @rihanna (over 20. 5 billion),’ it read. ‘thank u all so much for listening and caring at all, let alone this much,’ Ariana gushed in her own Instagram post. ‘I can’t wait to give u new things to listen to.’
Despite being honoured by the new designation, Ariana couldn’t wait for Rihanna’s long-awaited follow-up to her 2016 studio album Anti. ‘now can rihanna pls drop her album so she can rightfully snatch this back and fill my ears again please or ....’ she wrote. Last month, Rihanna confirmed that she was working on new music in a rare update with ET. ‘I am always working on music,’ she said. ‘I am always working on music and when I am ready to put it out in the way that I feel fit, it’s gonna come out. And you’re not going to be disappointed when it happens. It’s going to be worth it.’

On August 9, she shared some throwback photo to a recent escape to the Amangiri resort in Canyon Point, Utah. The songstress shared some photos of herself amid majestic rock outcroppings, and she even posted some rare bikini photos from a trip to the pool.
