Newly appointed UNF MP Saman Ratnapriya said on Tuesday that he would accept a duty-free vehicle with the sole objective of working for the people.

Mr Ratnapriya said that he would use such a vehicle solely to work for the betterment of poor people of this country.

At the same time he said there was no point in wasting public funds if one did not fulfil his duty towards the people.

The MP then said people should be provided with essential medicine, food items and other medical equipment to the people.

“The Government is blaming the Opposition for not supporting the amendment brought to the Vote on Account saying that had prevented concessions to the people. There are enough funds to be work for the people if one did not waste funds,” he said.

When did any Sri lanakan politician, Sinhala, Muslim or Tamil, ever work for the betterment of the voters. They always and still are working for the betterment of themselves, their extended family and gangsters that collect votes for them. So stop conning people, we know what you are.

I have a suggestion. All "Suvasariya" ambulances are parked in Police stations for the use of the general public when the need arises. Similarly Saman Ratnapriya also can park his brand new duty free vehicle at the nearest Police station for emergency use of the public if it is really not for personal use but for public use as he says. None of the 224 has done it.
