Justice Minister Thalatha Atukorale said yesterday she listened to the alleged voice recording of a telephone conversation between Avant Garde Chairman Nissanka Senadhipathy and former Bribery Commission Chairperson Dilrukshi Dias Wickremasinghe and that she would inquire from the Attorney General (AG) regarding the matter.
“Her departmental head is the AG. The AG should make a statement regarding this. As the subject minister, I can inquire about this matter from the AG, but before that, we have to verify the authenticity of the voice recording. In the recording, Ms. Wickremesinghe speaks as the Bribery Commission Chairperson. I will challenge anyone who says there was political interference in the judicial process,” she told a press conference.

Inquire and do what? You will sweep it under the carpet to protect the politicians.
