After the Ministry of Tourism has cancelled the tours by the visiting Ukrainian tourists to Sigiriya and Polonnaruwa, those areas are now opened for local tourists today and tomorrow, The Central Cultural Fund said.
The Ministry said earlier, the tourist attraction areas in Sigiriya and Polonnaruwa have been advised to close for local tourists today and tomorrow after 12.00 pm, as Ukrainian tourists are scheduled to visit those locations.
However, Parakrama Palace Complex, Dalada Oluwa, Shiva Devalaya (No. 2), Rankoth Vehera, Lankathilake Vehera, Kirivehera, Gal Viharaya, Thivanka Image House and Lotus Pond will open their doors to entertain local tourists from today. (Chaturanga Samarawickrama)
