The police arrested two persons today in connection with an incident at Poruthota, in Negombo, yesterday.
There was a tense situation after two groups of people were involved in a clash over a vehicular accident, police said. The police confirmed that no sharp weapons like swords had been used during the clash.
Police curfew had to be imposed within the Negombo Police Division from last evening to today 7.00 am.
