Three Nigerians and two Sri Lankans have been arrested by the Prevention of Organized Crimes Division at Mount Lavinia yesterday.
Police said the Nigerians were arrested on charges of over-staying their visas while the Sri Lankans were arrested for aiding them.
Investigations revealed that the suspects had defrauded money by deceiving people through the social media such as Facebook.
The Police recovered three laptops, 11 smart phones and Rs. 168,000 in cash from the suspect's possession.
