Viral video footage circulating over social media shows cricketer Kusal Mendis who was taking a test ride on the brand new motorcycle won by fellow cricketer Angelo Mathews as the award for the man of the series, stumbles and falls on the ground with another teammate on the pillion.
Senior player Angelo Mathews was awarded the 'Man of the Series' for his performance in the series and he won a bike as a prize after the end of the 3rd ODI against Bangladesh at Colombo on July 31, which Sri Lanka clinched the series 3-0.
After the award ceremony, Kusal Mendis took a test ride of the new bike with a fellow teammate on the back seat.
But Mendis slipped while riding and fell on the ground. Watching the cricketer falling down, the security persons deployed on the ground rushed towards them and lifted the bike.
Although he didn't suffer any injury, the cricketer had to face a huge embarrassment in front of a packed stadium.

These things do happen. Certainly not a cause for embarrassment.

Who permitted the motorcycle to be ridden on a turf ground? The grass is carefully nurtured around the year. Punish that Ground in Charge....

Is it kusal mendis for sure? Earlier footage suggests kusal was the passenger and Shehan Jayasuriya was the rider.
