Sports Minister Namal Rajapaksa has proposed to hold a one-off T20 cricket match between the Sri Lanka Cricket team and the Sri Lanka Legends team in April.
The Minister has proposed to hold the match after the arrival of the Sri Lankan national team, which is currently touring the West Indies.
This match is schedule to be played at the R. Premadasa Stadium in Colombo and 50% of its total capacity will be provided for the spectators.
The match would be played as a fund raising event for COVID-19.
Dasun Shanaka most likely would captain the Sri Lanka national team while it is yet to be decided who would lead the Legends team.
Meanwhile, the Sri Lanka Legends team participating at the Road Safety World Series will face the South African Legends today in the second semi final game. Indian Legends team have already qualified for the final.
