Sooriyawewa farmers’ hunger strike: Two hospitalised

Two farmers among those on hunger strike at Valsapugala in Sooriyawewa have been admitted to the hospital as their health conditions deteriorate.

A group of farmers launched the hunger strike yesterday urging the authorities to resolve their issues related to human-elephant conflict.

    These hunger strike methods of control and seeking attention are so outdated! Must be another way; get the local MP involved!
