The Army soldier who was arrested over the shooting incident in Akmeemana yesterday, had been handed over to the Army's 581 Brigade Command Headquarters, Boossa today, Police said.
They said the order to transfer the Army officer had been issued when he was produced before the Galle Magistrate's court today.
Police said the officer would be detained at the Headquarters until the advice of the Attorney General is sought regarding the incident.
Meanwhile, the court also instructed the Akmeemana Police to swiftly seek the advice of the Attorney General to determine the further legal course of action.
A 39-year-old person who had attempted to forcibly enter a school in Akmeemana was shot dead by the army soldier on duty yesterday.
The suspect succumbed to the injuries on admittance to the hospital.

In Sri Lanka it's hard to understand who is the villain and who is the victim. I think we get this notion right from the top , the president himself. He is the villain and at the same time talks like a victim.
