Several Cabinet and State Ministers assumed duties yesterday while many others are to assume duties today (14).
The swearing-in ceremony of the Cabinet was held on Wednesday in Kandy where 26 Cabinet and 39 State Minister were sworn-in.
Education Minister G.L.Peiris, Power Minister Dullas Alahapperuma, Trade Minister Bandula Gunawardana and Mass Media Minister Keheliya Rambukwella assumed duties yesterday.
Meanwhile, the Government Information Department said Transport Minister Gamini Lokuge, Minister of Agriculture Mahindananda Aluthgamage and Ports and Shipping Minister Rohitha Abeygunawardena will assume duties today (14).
State Ministers Indika Anuruddha, Sarath Weerasekara, S.Viyalendiran, Jeevan Thondaman and Nimal Lanza would also assume duties today. (Lahiru Pothmulla)
