Good. It is time to take the UNP leadership or form a new political party.

    Appu Wednesday, 20 November 2019 08:28 AM

That means he did not meet before the presidential election

You need some kind brain wash.

    Citizen Wednesday, 20 November 2019 08:30 AM

Very welcome and it is outstanding. As a young leader who was not very much supported by party leadership you should reprogram future activities with energetic honest knowledgeable team.

    hoodwinker Wednesday, 20 November 2019 08:30 AM

You did what you could, you cannot be blamed for others faults' unless you had come 5 years ago? UNP will never learn anything out of this.

Hon Sajith deserves to be a future president by having all good qualities of an honest and brave politician. Let’s support Hon Gota to serve the country well. In future it is good to be competitive between honest and uncorrupted politicians like Sajith and Gota.

It was because of people like Mangala, Rajitha, Patali, SF and Ranjan that you lost.

Haramanis Appu Wednesday, 20 November 2019 09:58 AM

It may be only the Fossils in the UNP who are still supporting Ranil. The young party members must join and rid him of the leadership.

The ONLY leader from the UNPs future hope ! .

    Anoosh Wednesday, 20 November 2019 10:42 AM

You should take whole responsibility for the defeat of UNP which had the SUPREMACY all these years, and you condemned the leadership and did not listen to his words. You and your favourites are disgraceful for UNP.

Veerasamy Pradheepan Wednesday, 20 November 2019 12:29 PM

Throw RW to rubbish and take the leadership.

    Andiris Wednesday, 20 November 2019 02:42 PM

Ranil may not be so much concerned about the loss of the UNP candidate in the Presidential elections as his interest is to be the Leader of the Opposition.

    Ranjith Wednesday, 20 November 2019 02:58 PM

UNP to return to power Ranil should be sent home immediately then appoint a capable reader who take the country to the next level and next decade its possible.

    Sando Wednesday, 20 November 2019 02:59 PM

Challenging the Leadership was wrong. No doubt about it. RW was deeply hurt.

    Yehiya Wednesday, 20 November 2019 03:27 PM

Totally his weakness. He brought the Tissa Attanayake. He may leak all plan. Mostly all done good job. Harrin, Buddika

Ivan Maligaspe Wednesday, 20 November 2019 10:13 PM

Before this he should resign from Parliament, as he lost his own seat Tissamaharama by a huge margin and the province of Hambantota, THIS he should do if he wants to follow his Father's policies, his Father asked all MPs who lost to resign and they were not given nominations.
